Comscore Statement on Digital Audience Metrics

In our correspondence with MediaPost last week, Comscore violated its policy with regards to the FOXNews.com and CNN.com page view data validation. We would like to be clear that it is not our policy to comment on how our partners utilize our data. We can only verify the accuracy of the data itself. To correct the record, Comscore would like to clarify that the metrics published by MediaPost for the FOX News and CNN comparison were validated for their accuracy. We erred in inferring that it is ‘more accurate’ to compare FOXNews.com to the ‘CNN Brand,’ this statement was incorrect as both comparisons are valid and we have taken steps to improve our procedures moving forward.
